ONE OF TWO MEN ACCUSED OF KILLING A JOHNSON CITY MAN NEARLY TWO YEARS AGO HAS ADMITTED TO THE CRIME IN WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE CRIMINAL COURT. LELAND NAPIER PLED GUILTY TO SECOND DEGREE MURDER IN THE DEATH OF ALEJANDRO VICTOR GONZALES. HE AND HIS COUSIN, TIMOTHY HAMILTON WERE CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE MURDER IN THE SEPTEMBER 2006 KILLING. A JUDGE ORDERED NAPIER TO SERVE 15 YEARS IN PRISON WITHOUT PAROLE AND AN ADDITIONAL 11 YEARS AFTER PLEADING GUILTY TO POSSESSING COCAINE FOR RESALE AND FAILURE TO APPEAR. MEANWHILE, PROSECUTORS HAVE OFFERED A PLEA DEAL TO HAMILTON WHO HAS A HEARING TOMORROW.
