EIGHT PEOPLE IN SULLIVAN COUNTY ARE BEING TREATED FOR RABIES AFTER BEING EXPOSED TO A UNTAMED CAT IN KINGSPORT THAT TESTED POSITIVE FOR THE DISEASE. SULLIVAN COUNTY REGIONAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT’S DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASES, JENNIFER WILLIAMS, SAID THE VICTIMS HAD BEEN FEEDING AND TRYING TO TAME THE CAT NEAR THE VFW POST 3382 JUST OFF FORT HENRY DRIVE.
