IT’S GOING TO COST BLUFF CITY MORE MONEY TO FIX WATER LEAKS IN THE SMALL TOWN. CITY OFFICIALS HAVE SPENT NEARLY 50-THOUSAND DOLLARS OVER THE PAST YEAR AND COULD SPEND UP TO A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS A MONTH IN ORDER TO GET THINGS BACK TO NORMAL. THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMEN WILL DISCUSS INCLUDING THE PRICE OF FIXING THE WATER LEAKS INTO THE CURRENT BUDGET. CITY FOREMAN MILTON BOYD SAID THE CITY’S WATER MAINS LEAK BECAUSE THEY WERE BUILT WITH GALVANIZED PIPE, WHICH IS A MATERIAL THAT HAS A LIFE SPAN OF ABOUT 20 YEARS. THE CITY’S NEXT BUDGET WORKSHOP WILL BE HELD TONIGHT AT CITY HALL AND THE WATER LEAK PROBLEM COULD COME UP FOR DISCUSSION.
