TRIAL FOR A MAN ACCUSED IN A DOUBLE MURDER IN JOHNSON CITY WILL GO FORWARD AS SCHEDULED. 57 YEAR OLD HOWARD HAWK WILLIS APPEARED IN COURT FOR A MOTIONS HEARING THAT COULD HAVE DELAYED HIS FIRST DEGREE MURDER TRIAL. HOWEVER, JUDGE LYNN BROWN RULED THE CASE WILL GO ON AS SCHEDULED ON JULY 10TH. WILLIS IS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE OCTOBER 2002 KILLINGS OF GEORGIA TEENS, ADAM CHRISMER AND SAMANTHA LEMING. WILLIS FACES THE DEATH PENALTY IF CONVICTED. JUDGE BROWN SAID THERE IS NO REASON TO DELAY THE WILLIS CASE ANY LONGER. WILLIS WILL RETURN TO COURT FOR A MOTIONS HEARING ON JUNE 10TH.
