A MAN ACCUSED IN A DOUBLE MURDER IN JOHNSON CITY WILL APPEAR IN COURT TODAY FOR A MOTIONS HEARING. 57 YEAR OLD HOWARD HAWK WILLIS IS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE OCTOBER 2002 KILLINGS OF GEORGIA TEENS, ADAM CHRISMER AND SAMANTHA LEMING. WILLIS FACES THE DEATH PENALTY IF CONVICTED. JUDGE LYNN BROWN APPOINTED WILLIS TO REPRESENT HIMSELF AFTER WORKING HIS WAY THROUGH NUMEROUS ATTORNEYS. WILLIS WILL BE IN COURT TODAY TO APPEAL THAT DECISION. MEANWHILE, HIS TRIAL DATE IS CURRENTLY SET FOR JULY 10TH, BUT THAT COULD CHANGE.
