THE TRIAL FOR THE FORMER POLICE CHIEF OF DAMASCUS VIRGINIA HAS BEEN DELAYED. TONY RICHARDSON IS CHARGED WITH FOUR COUNTS OF DRUG DISTRIBUTION, TWO COUNTS OF IMITATION SCHEDULE II DISTRIBUTION, THREE COUNTS OF CONSPIRACY TO DISTRIBUTE SCHEDULE II DRUGS, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE II AND III DRUGS, GRAND LARCENY OF A FIREARM, TWO COUNTS OF POSSESSING A FIREMARM WITH SCHEDULED DRUGS AND TWO COUNTS OF OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE. HE WAS ARRESTED IN JUNE OF LAST YEAR WHILE SERVING AS POLICE CHIEF. DEFENSE ATTORNEYS FOR RICHARDSON HAVE FILED SEVERAL MOTIONS, WHICH LED TO THE CONTINUANCE. A NEW TRIAL DATE HAS BEEN SET FOR JULY 14TH
