THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS IN BRISTOL VIRGINIA HAS DECIDED TO HANG UP HIS EDUCATIONAL ROBE. DOUG ARNOLD HAS SUBMITTED HIS LETTER OF RETIREMENT TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION WHICH HAS ACCEPTED. THE 58 YEAR OLD SCHOOL LEADER SAYS HIS JOB JUST ISN’T FUN ANYMORE. HE TOOK OVER THE POST IN JULY 2006. THE BOARD IS EXPECTED TO DISCUSS ITS OPTIONS FOR REPLACING ARNOLD AT THE NEXT MEETING ON JUNE 2ND. ARNOLD’S LAST DAY ON THE JOB WILL BE JUNE 30TH.
