A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN HAWKINS COUNTY OVER THE WEEKEND HAS CLAIMED THE LIVES OF TWO COUNTY MEN. ACCORDING TO THE TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL, 23 YEAR OLD JOHNNY WAGNER OF CHURCH HILL AND HIS PASSENGER, 22 YEAR OLD JOSHUA WALLEN WERE KILLED EARLY SUNDAY MORNING ON CARTERS VALLEY ROAD. POLICE SAID WAGNER ATTEMPTED TO NEGOTIATE A CURVE WHEN THE VEHICLE EXITED THE ROADWAY, WENT AIRBORNE BEFORE STRIKING AN EMBANKMENT AND COMING TO REST ON OKALONA ROAD. AUTHORITIES SAID ALCOHOL IS SUSPECTED TO HAVE PLAYED A ROLE IN THE ACCIDENT.
