IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE GOVERNOR’S HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE, MANY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN NORTHEAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA HAVE KICKED OFF THE SUMMER TRAFFIC INITIATIVES. WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE SHERIFF ED GRAYBEAL SAYS SAFETY IS THEIR NUMBER ONE CONCERN. WITH THE SUCCESS OF THE CLICK IT OR TICKET AND 100 DAYS OF SUMMER HEAT, GRAYBEAL SAID HUNDREDS OF LIVES HAVE BEEN SAVED ON AREA ROADWAYS. THE ENFORCEMENT CAMPAIGN FOR CLICK IT OR TICKET BEGINS ON MAY 19TH AND RUNS THROUGH JUNE 1ST.
