FOUR PEOPLE IN ST. PAUL VIRGINIA ARE ACCUSED OF VOTER FRAUD. AUTHORITIES ALLEGE ROGER TACKETT, BILLY JOE STEFFEY SR., DONNA GREEAR AND AMANDA HONAKER FALSELY SUBMITTED TACKETT’S ADDRESS TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN ST. PAUL’S TOWN COUNCIL ELECTIONS NEXT TUESDAY. WISE COUNTY COMMONWEALTH ATTORNEY RON ELKINS SAID STEFFEY, GREEAR AND HONAKER DON’T EVEN LIVE IN THE TOWN. THE TOWN’S MAYOR AND TWO COUNCIL SEATS ARE UP FOR GRABS IN A HOTLY CONTESTED RACE. THE FOUR ARE FREE ON BOND. THIS ISN’T THE FIRST TIME THE ISSUE OF VOTER FRAUD HAS SURFACED IN WISE COUNTY. THE MAYOR AND SEVERAL HIGH RANKING TOWN OFFICIALS IN THE TOWN OF APPALACHIA ADMITTED TO RIGGING THE 2004 ELECTION BY BRIBING VOTERS, STEALING ABSENTEE BALLOTS AND VOTING MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THEMSELVES.
