SOMETIMES THINGS AREN’T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR. A TRIAL FOR PONCHO JUAN DELGADO EARLIER THIS MONTH IN WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE CRIMINAL COURT WAS BELIEVED TO HAVE ENDED IN A MISTRIAL, BUT THAT APPARENTLY WASN’T THE CASE. CRIMINAL COURT JUDGE ROBERT CUPP SAID HE NEVER RULED THAT WAY. DELGADO IS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER AND ARSON IN THE MAY 2006 DEATH OF 41 YEAR OLD ROBERT CURTIS. CURTIS WAS FOUND STABBED TO DEATH INSIDE A BURNING HOME. THE ATTORNEYS WILL RETURN TO COURT TODAY TO MAKE A FINAL DECISION ON WHETHER OR NOT TO PROCEED WITH THE TRIAL.
