TWO MEN ACCUSED OF HAVING DRUGS IN THEIR VEHICLE DURING A ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP ARE BEHIND BARS IN ABINGDON VIRGINIA. 28 YEAR OLD ROBERT NEELY OF DAMASCUS AND 26 YEAR OLD JUSTIN PHILLIPS OF BRISTOL VIRGINIA ARE EACH CHARGED WITH POSSESSIONG A SCHEDULE TWO DRUGS WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE AND POSSESSION A FIREARM WHILE HAVING DRUGS. NEELY ALSO FACES A CHARGE OF BEING IN POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE THREE AND FOUR DRUGS FOR RESALE AND BEING IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM AFTER BEING CONVICTED OF A FELONY. CHIEF TONY SULLIVAN SAID A THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF COCAINE AND OTHER ILLEGAL PRESCRIPTION DRUGS WERE DISCOVERED IN THE VEHICLE. PHILLIPS AND NEELY ARE BEING HELD ON BOND IN THE ABINGDON REGIONAL JAIL. THEIR ARRAIGNMENT IS SET FOR JULY 24TH IN WASHINGTON COUNTY VIRGINIA GENERAL DISTRICT COURT.
