TESTIMONY WILL RESUME THIS MORNING IN WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE CRIMINAL COURT IN THE FIRST DEGREE MURDER TRIAL OF AN ELIZABETHTON MAN. 30 YEAR OLD ROGER DALE GREENWELL IS ALLEGED TO HAVE KILLED 67 YEAR OLD BILL PETERSON AT HIS KENTUCKY STREET APARTMENT IN MAY 2006. AUTHORITIES SAID HE DIED FROM BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA TO THE HEAD. JODY PETERSON TESTIFIED YESTERDAY ABOUT FINDING HIS DECEASED FATHER LYING IN BLOOD ON THE KITCHEN FLOOR. FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST DR. TERESA CAMPBELL TESTIFIED THAT PETERSON HAD SEVEN SIGNIFICANT TRAUMATIC HEAD INJURIES THAT LED TO HIS DEATH. TWO WERE CONSISTANT WITH A HAMMER WHILE AT LEAST ONE WOUND WOULD BE CONSISTANT WITH THE CLAW END OF A HAMMER. THE STATE COULD WRAP UP ITS CASE TODAY.
