A MISTRIAL HAS BEEN DECLARED IN THE MURDER TRIAL OF A JOHNSON CITY MAN ACCUSED IN THE STABBING DEATH OF ANOTHER MAN. JUAN PANCHO DELGADO’S CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE DEAT OF 41 YEAR OLD ROBERT CURTIS IN MAY OF 2006. CURTIS’ BODY WAS FOUND INSIDE A BURNT HOME ON EAST FAIRVIEW AVENUE WITH MULTIPLE STAB WOUNDS. DELGADO’S TRIAL WAS DELAYED AFTER JUDGE ROBERT CUPP FELL ILL TUESDAY. THE MISTRIAL WAS DECLARED BY CUPP AFTER BEING ADMITTED TO AN AREA HOSPITAL. ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIN MCARDLE SAID IT’S UNKNOWN WHEN A NEW TRIAL DATE WILL BE SET.
