TENNESSEE’S ATTORNEY GENERAL IS SEEKING A CONTEMPT OF COURT ORDER AGAINST AGAINST A BLOUNTVILLE KENNEL OWNER INDICTED ON FEDERAL FRAUD CHARGES. 45 YEAR OLD GINA PRICE IS ACCUSED OF IMPORTING AND SELLING BULLDOGS FROM EASTERN EUROPE AFTER ADVERTISING THEM AS HEALTHY AND RAISED IN THE AREA. HOWEVER, MANY OF THE ANIMALS SUFFERED SERIOUS MEDICAL PROBLEMS AND HAD TO BE EUTHANIZED. MEANWHILE, SHE HAS ALSO BEEN INDICTED BY A FEDERAL GRAND JURY FOR ALLEGEDLY CHEATING ON HER TAXES. PRICE FACES A TEN COUNT INDICTMENT WHICH ALLEGES FILING A FALSE INCOME TAX RETURN, WIRE FRAUD, WITNESS TAMPERING, AND SOCIAL SECURITY FRAUD. IN 2006, THE STATE’S ATTORNEY GENERAL OBTAINED AN INJUNCTION PREVENTING HER FROM CONTINUING TO SELL THE ANIMALS. A HEARING ON THE MOTION FOR A CONTEMPT ORDER IS SET FOR APRIL 18TH IN CHANCERY COURT IN BRISTOL.
