VIRGINIA INTERMONT COLLEGE IS HOLDING A PUBLIC CANDLELIGHT PEACE VIGIL TONIGHT. THE PURPOSE OF THE GATHERING IS DESIGNED TO RECOGNIZE THE DEATHS OF MORE THAN FOUR THOUSAND U.S. TROOPS SINCE THE WAR IN IRAQ BEGAN. ORGANIZERS SAY THE GOAL IS TO CALL FOR PEACE AND MOURN THE DEAD. THE EVENT WILL BEGIN AT 6PM AND WILL BE HELD IN THE QUAD AREA IN THE CENTER OF THE COLLEGE’S MOORE STREET CAMPUS.
