ACCORDING TO JOHNSON CITY POLICE, A CITY MAN ACCUSED OF SHOOTING ANOTHER MAN IN THE PARKING LOT OF A CITY RESTAURANT HAS BEEN ARRESTED IN NORTH CAROLINA. 29 YEAR OLD ANTHONY PARNELL MITCHELL IS CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE SHOOTING AT VITO’S INTALIAN RESTAURANT ON NORTH ROAN STREET. THE SHOOTING VICTIM, CLARENCE BENSON, SURVIVED THE INCIDENT. IT WAS THE SECOND TIME BENSON WAS SHOT AT VITO’S. JOHNSON CITY POLICE HAD ALERTED BURLINGTON POLICE THAT MITCHELL MIGHT BE IN THE AREA.
