TESTIMONY IS EXPECTED TO RESUME TODAY IN WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE CRIMINAL COURT IN THE MURDER TRIAL OF A JOHNSON CITY MAN. 41 YEAR OLD PONCHO JUAN DELGADO IS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN THE KILLING OF 41 YEAR OLD ROBERT CURTIS IN MAY OF 2006. CURTIS WAS FOUND DEAD INSIDE HIS BURNED HOME ON EAST FAIRVIEW AVENUE WITH MULTIPLE STAB WOUNDS. DELGADO’S SISTER, JUNE LITTLE TESTIFIED YESTERDAY THAT HER BROTHER CAME TO HER FOR HELP THE DAY AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY KILLED CURTIS CLAIMING HE KILLED A MAN AND THAT HE HIT HIM WITH SOMETHING AND STABBED HIM TO DEATH. A FORMER JOHNSON CITY POLICE INVESTIGATOR AND ASSISTANT FIRE MARSHALL ALSO TOOK THE STAND AND GAVE JURORS A VIEW OF THE HOMICIDE AND FIRE SCENES. A VERDICT IS EXPECTED IN THE TRIAL BY THE END OF THE WEEK.
