Former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist says he likely won’t make up his mind on a gubernatorial run until next year. The Nashville Republican made those comments at a fundraiser for a state House candidate in Kingsport late last week. Frist says his focus this year is getting Republicans elected in Tennessee. He told the gathering that his political action committee has given about $750,000 to Republican candidates in the state over the last two election cycles. Frist retired after two terms in the U.S. Senate in 2007.
