Authorities have captured a Carter County inmate who escaped from a work camp early Friday morning. Police say 45-year-old Randy Hicks was taken into custody in a farm house in Athens, Tennessee this weekend. Hicks escaped from an annex of the Northeast Correctional Facility in northeast Tennessee. He was serving time for facilitation to murder, robbery and other charges. Hicks was taken into custody without incident and will more than likely face additional charges. Meanwhile, the TBI says Hicks had two family members pick him up and take him to Athens Tennessee. Once they are identified they could be facing charges.
