IN AN EFFORT TO ENHANCE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP IN RIDDING WASHINGTON COUNTY TENNESSEE OF UNSITELY ILLEGAL DUMP SITES, LOCAL OFFICIALS HAVE STARTED A NEW PROGRAM. OVER THE PAST SIX MONTHS, CREWS HAVE ASSISTED IN THE CLEANUP OF SOME 32 ILLEGAL DUMPSITES. AT THESE SITES, A TOTAL OF ALMOST 14-HUNDRED TIRES, 61 GAS TANKS, MATTRESSES, DISCARDED BUILDING MATERIALS, AND OTHER ITEMS WERE FOUND AND REMOVED. SHERIFF ED GRAYBEAL SAYS GETTING RID OF TRASH PROPERLY IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBLITY.
