A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR FEDERAL GRANT WILL SOON BRING PUBLIC WATER TO NEARLY 700 RESIDENTS IN BRISTOL TENNESSEE. CURRENTLY, THOSE PEOPLE LIVING IN DENTON VALLEY ARE HAVING TO RELY ON WELL AND BOTTLED WATER FOR THEIR DAILY NEEDS. HELP IS COMING THANKS TO A $2.1 MILLION DOLLAR GRANT FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE’S RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. THE MONEY WILL BE USED TO INSTALL SIX MILES OF WATER LINES ALONG DENTON VALLEY. THE FUNDS WILL ALSO HELP PAY FOR A 200-THOUSAND GALLON WATER STORAGE TANK AND 20 FIRE HYDRANTS. CONSTRUCTION ON THE PROJECT COULD GET UNDERWAY WITHIN THE NEXT YEAR.
