The Health Wagon And ETSU’s Quillen College Of Medicine Provided Free Care To More Than 150 Patients During Their Annual Health Fairs In Wise And Clintwood. The Two-Day Event Delivered More Than $142,000 In Estimated Health Services, Including X-Rays, Ultrasounds, Lab Testing, Dental Work, And Preventive Screenings. Patients Also Received Free Food Boxes, Educational Resources, And Referrals To Specialists. One Attendee Was Diagnosed With Severe Liver Disease After A Screening From The American Liver Foundation. The Long-Running Partnership Between The Health Wagon And ETSU Continues To Address Critical Gaps In Care For Rural Communities. Organizers Say The Fair Also Offers Hands-On Training For Future Doctors And Reinforces A Decades-Long Commitment To Health Equity In Appalachia.
