A Groundbreaking Ceremony Has Marked The Start Of Phase 1 Construction On The Blountville Campus, A New Community Athletic Complex At The Former Site Of Blountville Elementary And Middle Schools. The First Phase Includes Two Ball Fields, A Concession Stand, Pickleball Courts, And A Covered Shelter. Sullivan County Mayor Richard Venable Hopes To Secure Funding For Phase 2, Which Could Add A Farmer’s Market, Pavilion, And Rubberized Track. The Nearly Five Million Dollar Project, Is Expected To Be Completed Within 250 Days From The April 15th Start Date.
