Carter County’s Board Of Education Has Voted To Repair Flood-Damaged Hampton High School Rather Than Build A New Facility. The Board Rejected Options To Consolidate Hampton With Either Cloudland Or Unaka High Schools. Hampton High Suffered Extensive Damage From Hurricane Helene Last Fall. Students And Staff Currently Attend Classes At The Former Keenburg Elementary School In Elizabethton While Repairs And Flood Mitigation Work Are Planned.
