Testimony Will Resume This Morning In Unicoi County Criminal Court In The Murder Trial Of A Man Accused Of Killing His Girlfriend. Tyler Lee Owens, Is Charged With First Degree Murder In The Shooting Death Of Stacie Brugger. Witnesses Included Brugger’s Former Boss And Ex-Boyfriend Eddie Stork, Who Testified About The Couple’s Argument Before The Shooting. Unicoi County Sheriff’s Officers Also Took The Stand, Stating Owens Pointed A Gun At Them Before Tossing It Away During His Arrest. In Recorded Interviews Played For The Court, Owens Claimed Brugger Loaded The Gun And Pointed It At Her Head, And It Accidentally Fired As He Tried To Take It Away From Her. A Verdict Is Expected In The Trial By The End Of The Week.
