A Hazmat Crew From Wise County Virginia Has Responded To A Chlorine Leak At The Lebanon Water Treatment Plant. Russell County Emergency Management Director Jess Powers Says The Leak Was Reported Around 7 Am At The Facility On Big Cedar Creek Road. Lebanon Police Chief Eric Deskins Confirms The Leak Occurred In A Cylinder Before Anything Could Get Into The Water Supply. Officials Say There Is No Public Safety Risk. Crews Are Currently Working To Determine How To Turn Off The Leak. No Evacuations Or Injuries Have Been Reported.
