A State Of Emergency Has Been Declared By Six Counties In Southwest Virginia Due To Weekend Flooding. The Virginia National Guard Has Been Dispatched To The Flood-Affected Areas To Provide Relief. Governor Glenn Youngkin Has Reportedly Been In Contact With County Leaders And Several Sheriff’s In Wise, Lee, Russell, Buchanan, Scott And Dickenson Counties. Several Roadways And Bridges Throughout These Counties Were Affected By Flood Waters. Dickenson County Has Setup A Donation Center And Are In Need Of Cleaning Supplies, Bottled Water, Non-Perishable Food And Baby Items. Meanwhile, Buchanan County Schools Are Closed Until Further Notice The County’s Public Service Authority Has Issued A Boil Water Alert For Residents, That Will Remain In Effect Until Further Notice.
