An Elizabethton Man Has Been Charged After Firing Shots Due To Noisy Trucks Passing His Home. 47-Year-Old Thomas Robert Gambrel Was Arrested Thursday And Charged With Two Counts Of Aggravated Assault. Deputies Responded To A 911 Call From Two Dump Truck Drivers Who Reported Hearing Gunshots While Stopped In Front Of Gambrel’s House. The Drivers Reported A Previous Encounter With Gambrel Where He Threatened To Shoot If The Noise Continued. Investigators Found Spent Shell Casings Near The Door And Gambrel Carried A Pistol Upon Arrival. He Admitted To Firing The Gun In Frustration Over The Truck Noise. Gambrel Is Currently Being Held Without Bond At The Carter County Detention Center.
