A Carter County Jury Has Convicted A County Man Of Murder. A Jury Found Jacob Morley Guilty Of First-Degree Murder In The Killing Of Cody Birchfield In 2022. Prosecutors Say Investigators Found Birchfield’s Body Buried Beneath Morley’s Home After He Was Reported Missing. The Jury Also Found Morley Guilty Of Abuse Of A Corpse And Tampering With Evidence. Earlier In The Trial He Pleaded Guilty To Separate Charges Of Aggravated Burglary And Theft. Morley Will Be Sentenced Soon In Criminal Court.
