A Carter County Jury Has Found A Woman Not Guilty In A Fatal Shooting Over Two Years Ago. The Jury Acquitted Cynthia Ellis Of First Degree Murder In The December 2022 Death Of 58 Year Old Andrew Gilbertson, With Whom She Shared A Home With On Countryside Drive. According To An Affidavit, Ellis Told Officers The Two Were Arguing And When He Blocked The Doorway, She Allegedly Shot Him Twice, Then Followed Him Into The Kitchen An Shot Him A Third Time. The Jury Apparently Felt The Shooting Was Justified.
