Haysi Town Leaders Are Moving Forward With A New Municipal Building To Protect Against Flooding Next Week, They’ll Hold A Groundbreaking For The New Facility Located Outside The Downtown Floodplain, Where The Current 1930s Town Hall Has Flooded Several Times, Last In 1977 The $7 Million Project, Funded By A Grant From The U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers, Will Include A 3,500 Square Foot Building To House The Town’s Offices And Police Department Construction Began In November, With Completion Expected In September 2025.
