A Lawsuit Seeking To Rerun The Johnson City Commission And School Board Election Has Been Dismissed. Judge John Rambo Ruled That Aaron Murphy, The Only Losing Candidate Who Could Have Been Affected, Needed To File The Suit Himself. Rambo Also Said The Carter County Election Commission Should Have Been Named As A Defendant Because The Improper Votes Allegedly Occurred In Carter County. The Lawsuit Claimed At Least 50 Illegal Votes Were Cast, Including 44 Ballots Given To Non-Residents Of Johnson City. Despite These Claims, The Case Will Not Move Forward.
