Bristol, Virginia Councilman Michael Pollard Has Apologized For Lying About City Employees. In A Facebook Post Monday, Pollard Admitted To Violating The City Council Code Of Ethics, Saying He Made False Claims About City Manager Randall Eads In A Private Message To A Citizen. *I Apologize For Publicly And Privately Breaching The City Council Code Of Ethics, Despite Multiple Warnings In Closed Meetings With The Full Council, For Sharing Information Shared With Me In Private Settings, For Publicly Criticizing And Lying About City Employees Up To And Including Our City Manager. I Will Make No Further References To The Person Who Is Our City Manager Here Or In Private.
On Saturday, January 4, 2025, I Sent A Private Facebook Message To A Citizen Regarding Randall Eads. The Private Message Contained Numerous Falsehoods About Mr. Eads That I Knew To Be False At The Time I Wrote The Message.
I Have Violated The Standards Of Conduct On Several Occasions And Have Been Previously Warned, By Council, About These Violations And How It Impacts Employees And Their Lives.*
