The Tennessee Department of Transportation will suspend lane closures for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, expecting heavier traffic on highways. The suspension runs from late this evening through early January 2nd. TDOT spokesman Mark Nagi says TDOT trucks might still be on the road due to inclement weather.
Meanwhile, the Virginia Department of Transportation will suspend lane closures from noon Christmas Eve through noon December 26th, and again from noon December 31st until noon January 2nd.
