The Salvation Army Is Building A New 15-Unit Transitional Housing Wing For Homeless Veterans In Johnson City, Thanks To A $10,000 Donation From The Regions Foundation Of Tennessee. Located At Ashe And Spring Streets, The Project Includes Private Rooms With Individual Bathrooms, A Courtyard, And Support To Help Veterans Transition To Stable Housing. Major Funders Include The U.S. Department Of Veterans Affairs And Local Governments, But Additional Donations Are Still Needed. Contributions Can Be Made Online Or By Mail To Support The “Veteran’s Wing.”
