Breaks Interstate Park Has Received A $100,000 Grant From The Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority To Fund Infrastructure Improvements. Projects Include Renovations To The Park’s Potable Water Tanks, Expansion Of The Chafin Lodge Gift Shop, Repairs To The Chief Ranger’s Residence, And Upgrades To The Amphitheater And Maintenance Facilities. Additional Funds Will Go Toward Equipment Purchases, Including A New Trailer And Communication System For Staff. Superintendent Austin Bradley Said The Updates Will Enhance Visitor Experiences And Support The Park’s Growing Activities. Construction On Some Projects Begins In April 2025.
