The Jonesborough Board Of Mayor And Aldermen Is Considering Taking Ownership Of The Jonesborough Repertory Theatre Building As Part Of Its Budget Amendment Process. During A Work Session Monday, Alderman Kelly Wolfe Proposed The Town Assume Responsibility For Maintenance And Utilities, Allowing The Theatre To Focus On Performances. Wolfe Emphasized The Move Would Provide Stability And Security Through A Long-Term Lease. Mayor Chuck Vest Supported The Plan, Calling It An Investment In Both The Arts And The Town’s Economic Growth. The Next BMA Meeting Is Set For December 9 At Town Hall.
