The Carter County School System’s Central Office Has Relocated To Its Third Site In The Past Year. As Of Wednesday, The Staff Now Operates Out Of The Former Workforce Development Complex At The Watauga Industrial Park (386 Highway 91). Northeast State Community College Continues To Use The Eastern End Of The Building, While The Central Office And School Board Occupy The Western End. The State Plans To Replace The Current Buildings With New Classrooms And Offices As Part Of An Educational Hub For The Region.
