During The Most Recent Kingsport School Board Meeting, School Leaders Have Voted In Favor Of A Resolution Asking The Tennessee General Assembly To Approve A Statewide Ban On Cell Phone Usage During Class Time In Public And Charter Schools. In Other Business, The Board Also Voted To Join A Class Action Lawsuit Against Social Media Giants Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok, And Snapchat. The Suit Alleges The Platforms Damage Mental Health And Well-Being Of Youth. If The Suit Is Successful, School District Will Pay Their Share Of Attorney Fees Out Of Money Won From The Companies.
