Norton Sheriff Jason Mcconnell, Then A Sergeant, Neutralized The Shooter, James Buckland, And Provided Aid To Lane. Buckland Was Later Convicted Of Attempted Murder And Sentenced To Life In Prison. Lane’s Resilience And Mcconnell’s Quick Actions Were Praised By Attorney General Miyares.
