The Boone Lake Association Is Taking Action After Hurricane Helene Left A Mess In The Watauga River. Logs, Building Materials, And Other Debris Are Clogging The Waterway. The Association Says It’s Focusing Its Efforts On The River’s Overflow Into Boone Lake. Crews Are Working From Winged Deer Park And Pickens Bridge With Help From Johnson City’s Solid Waste Department. The Association Warns That Debris Will Likely Continue To Be An Issue In The Watauga River Channel Until Next Summer’s Full-Pool Season.
