Two Georgia men who are partners in a rap group called “Thug Gentleman” have been convicted in U.S. District Court in Greeneville. Willie Freeman and Marion Russell were found guilty of possessing cocaine and ecstasy with the intent to distribute. The two men were also convicted of possessing powder cocaine. The two were stopped Jan. 17, 2007, on Interstate 26 for speeding. Authorities say they smelled marijuana and searched the car and found about $20,000 in illegal drugs and $1,800 in cash. Freeman and Russell said they were on their way to a recording studio in Greenville, S.C.
