Johnson City Police Department’s Special Victims Unit Arrested 25-Year-Old Sawyer Cross On Oct. 2, Charging Him With 20 Counts Of Sexual Exploitation Of A Minor And 17 Counts Of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation Of A Minor. The Arrest Came After The JCPD, Working As Part Of The Tennessee Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Received A Tip From The National Center For Missing And Exploited Children. Following A Search Of Cross’ Home In August, Additional Evidence Was Discovered On His Electronic Devices, Leading To The New Charges. Cross Is Currently Being Held At The Washington County Detention Center.
