Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) Has Sent A Swiftwater Rescue Team To Florida As Hurricane Helene Approaches. The Team, Part Of Tennessee Task Force 2, Includes 17 Highly Trained Rescue Personnel From Nashville And Franklin Fire, And Williamson County Emergency Management. They’ll Assist With Water Rescues And Recovery Efforts Through The Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC). The Storm Is Expected To Bring Heavy Rain, Flooding, And Dangerous Winds To Florida. TEMA Director Patrick Sheehan Says The Team Is Ready To Respond And Protect Lives As The Storm Makes Landfall. Tennessee Could Also See Impacts From Helene As Early As Thursday.
