Five Individuals Have Been Charged Following A Seven-Month Investigation Into Contraband Smuggling At The Unicoi County Jail. The Investigation, Which Began In March, Involved Monitoring Inmates’ Video Visitations, Phone Calls, And Text Messages. The Unicoi County Grand Jury Returned Indictments On September 9, Leading To Charges Including Conspiracy And Introduction Of Contraband Into A Penal Facility. Among Those Charged Are Ray Charles English, Brandon Kyle Casey, Caleb Whitaker, Christy King, And Mitcheal Hensley, With Bonds Ranging From $5,000 To $30,000.
