Washington County Tennessee Leaders Are Expected To Consider Changes Tonight To The Policy For Indigent Burials. The Proposed Amendment Would Require The Deceased To Have Been A Resident In The County For At Least Six Months Prior To Their Death, Have Proof Of Residency, And Will Not Cover The Cost Of Cremation If The Deceased Has Living Family Members. Mayor Joe Grandy Told The County’s Health, Education, And Welfare Committee Earlier This Month, The Change Is In Alignment With What Other Counties Around The Region Are Doing. The Commission Meets Tonight At 6pm.
