Sullivan County Commissioners Could Approve Over $500,000 In Opioid Settlement Funds For Local Non-Profits When They Meet This Evening. The County Received Nearly $736,000 From The Opioid Abatement Trust Fund In February. Three Organizations Serving Sullivan County Residents Are Being Considered For Funding. County Mayor Richard Venable Said The Non-Profits Will Present Their Plans At The Meeting. The Funds Must Be Used Within Two Years For Specific Purposes Related To Opioid Abatement. Remaining Funds Will Be Held In The County’s General Fund Until Further Allocations Are Determined.
