A Former Executive Director Of The Southwest Regional Recreational Authority In Abingdon Virginia Has Entered A Plea Deal In U.S. District Court In Abingdon Regarding The Embezzlement Of Over 16-Thousand Dollars In Agency Funds. Melissa Rose Signed The Agreement This Month Involving Bank Fraud And Embezzlement Charges. Prosecutors Said She Forged Agency Checks And Cashed Them Over A Two Year Period. A Sentencing Hearing Has Not Yet Been Scheduled.
