Ballad Health’s Johnson City Medical Center And Niswonger Children’s Hospital Are Launching Project Search, An Internship Program For High School Seniors With Intellectual Disabilities. The Program, The First Of Its Kind In The Appalachian Highlands, Aims To Provide Job Skills And Employment Opportunities. Six Interns Have Been Selected For The Inaugural Year, Working In Various Hospital Departments. Johnson City Schools Will Provide A Certified Teacher, While Goodwill Industries Will Offer Skills Trainers. The Program Runs Through June 2025.
